The Carboll Stone

Posted on

This fabulous replica Pictish stone can be found at the edge of the Seaboard village of Hilton on the East Coast just 8 miles the Old Manse. The Carboll stone dates back to AD800, part of the original stone can be seen in nearby Balintore memorial Hall (also serves excellent snacks throughout the summer)

Thanks Linda and Neale (and their lovely cat) for your hospitality, all you suggestions, advise and recommendations for dinner. Your house is really cosy and stylish and it was a pleasure to come back in the afternoon for a cup of tea together and a good chat in the warmth of the lounge. We hope to have the opportunity to come back soon.
